Brick + Mortar Music Video

Anyone who's been in love can relate to the words I want to run away with you. It's one of the grandest romantic statements you can make. It's also one of the most cliché (for good reason, of course). For this music video that I wrote and directed for Brick + Mortar's song "Train," I wanted to play off of the trope of the star-crossed lovers by reenacting some of the most iconic scenes from famous love films and create an epic ode to amour.

From costumes to hair and makeup, we studied all of the scenes very carefully so every emotion, angle, and shadow was exactly right. The hard work was worth it—we received some nice press in Vogue, NYLON, and No Film School.

Here's a list of the films we recreated scenes from in order of appearance:
Romeo + Juliet
Say Anything
Annie Hall
Titanic
It's a Wonderful Life
Dirty Dancing
American Beauty
Sixteen Candles
Grease
Blue Valentine
Breakfast at Tiffany's
Requiem for a Dream
Love Actually
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Lost in Translation
The Graduate
